New Album Cover

Our new album cover is all finished up!  Our good buddy Bubba from Elm Street Tattoo in Deep Ellum did the design and our buddy Bryce from Red Star Recording Studios did all of the coloring.  We are finishing up the inside art and should be going to press in about a week.  It looks as though we will be having a release

date in August for "Can't Afford the Luck".  We will keep you posted on release parties as we line up our schedule.  Our first single from the new album should be going out to radio in just a couple of weeks!!  Keep your ears on and please do request us on your local station.

We have a change in the band line-up.  Our good buddy Rob Short has been playing bass for us for three years now but has decided to move on to other ventures.  We're gonna miss him and wish him the best of luck!  Thanks Rob for all your hard work over the years.  It was a great ride brother and I hope we see you soon!  Taking over for Rob on Bass is Drew Harakal.  Drew is fresh back from Boston where he was attending Berklee School of Music.  We look forward to many a mile with Drew and are anxious to get to work rehearsing up the new tunes!

We also have a new booking agent.  Keli Pearce from 7th Planet Entertainment Group will be handling our bookings.  You can contact her at keli.pearce@yahoo.com.  We are looking forward to working with Keli and we are also looking forward to getting back on the road.  We have had a little down time finishing up the album and we don't like down time.  Check http://www.morobsonband.com/ for show dates as we are adding them daily. You can also hear a few of the new tunes from "Can't Afford the Luck" by visiting our site.  Please join us on Facebook and Twitter as well.  We're all hi-tech!

Thanks to everyone for their continued support and I hope we're coming to your town soon!!
Thank You,
Mo

Welcome Buddy!

Well it's Monday...but I had a good one!  We would like to let you folks know that our good buddy Aaron Wynne will be hitting the road with us!  And we are planning to hit the road very soon as we line up shows daily.

Wynne plays the hell out of a steel guitar, as well as several other instruments, and he can also write one hell of a song.  You can hear his talents on the new album playing both steel guitar and piano.  We have been playing together for years, both in the studio and onstage, and it will be great to make it a nightly occurence.

The artwork for "Can't Afford the Luck" is being finished up!  I think y'all are gonna all dig the album cover our buddy Bubba from Elm Street Tattoos worked up for us.  I stopped by for a visit last Sunday and walked out with a brand new tattoo!  What are the odds? I dig it.  If you want some ink head over to Elm Street...They'll treat you right!

As I mentioned before, our calendar is filling up and we will be posting dates very soon.  Meanwhile we will be hard at work in rehearsals and preparing for the release of a new single.

Please check back as we make our updates and please tell your friends to give us a visit at http://www.morobsonband.com/.  We just uploaded one of our new tunes from "Can't Afford the Luck" called "Ramblin' Kind".  If you get a chance please check it out!

Go Rangers and we look forward to seeing all y'all real soon!

Thank You,
MRB

MRB Update

Our new studio album "Can't Afford the Luck" is all finished up!  We recorded and mixed the album at Red Star Recording Studios in Arlington, TX and took it to Los Angeles, CA to have it mastered at Lurssen Mastering.  I am very excited about the release of this album and so is everyone in the MRB and our camp.

I wrote eleven of the twelve tracks on the album with a little help from a few friends.  The one song none of us had any part in writing is a Chips Moman written tune ("Brand New Goodbye Song" ) as recorded by the late great Waylon Jennings.  I have been a huge Waylon fan since I can remember being a fan of music and it was alot of fun to do a remake of a song he recorded and released.  I co-wrote a waltz ("Lonesome Waiting at Home") with my good buddy and drummer Brandon Rice. Some of you may know him as Spud Crowley. Same guy.  With the help of fellow songwriters and friends, Heath Webb and Jonny Hord, we finished up the writing of "Sweet Chiba, Mi Amiga" together.

The new album cover should be finished up soon.  Our friend Bubba from Elm Street Tattoos did the design and he did a killer job.  Spud recently had Bubba put a tattoo of Buck Owens acoustic on his forearm and came up with the design while he was getting inked.  If you need a tattoo go see Bubba!  We have been hard at work rebuilding our website and updating our social sites.  We uploaded the title track "Can't Afford the Luck" onto our website (http://www.morobsonband.com/) and ReverbNation.  If you get a chance please swing by and take a listen.  We will be rotating the new songs on our website leading up to the release.  Please sign the mailing list while you are there so we can include you in special giveaways and promitions we will be offering.  These offers will only be made through the bands e-mail list.

More to come soon so please check back and tell your friends.  Different members from the MRB will be posting to this blog as we venture on down the road.  Hope we see you soon!
